Chicken Tenders

Ranch Dressing

Method

Preparation of Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Marinate Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into strips. Place them in a bowl and pour in the buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare Breading

In another bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Coat Chicken

Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture until fully coated.

Frying Chicken Tenders

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry Chicken

Carefully place the coated chicken strips into the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chicken and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Preparation of Creamy Slaw

  1. 6

    Mix Slaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until well coated.

Preparation of Ranch Dressing

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
