Cooking the Grains

Preparing the Vegetables

Cook the Sweet Potato
Peel and cube the sweet potato. In a pot, boil water and add the sweet potato cubes. Cook for about 10-15 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Egg

Sunny Side Up Egg
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Optional Protein Preparation

Cook the Chicken/Beef/Salmon
Season your choice of protein with salt, pepper, and any preferred spices. Cook chicken breast on a grill or skillet for about 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked. For beef, cook to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium. For salmon, cook skin-side down for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.

Assemble Your Plate
In a bowl, layer the cooked rice and quinoa as a base. Top with sweet potato, peas, and carrots. Place the sunny side up egg on top, and if using, add your cooked protein of choice. Serve immediately.
