Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Bacon

  1. 3

    Fry the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Cook the Patties

  1. 4

    Grill the Patties

In the same skillet or on a grill, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  2. 5

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to allow the cheese to melt.

Prepare the Onion Straws

  1. 6

    Slice the Onion

Thinly slice the onion into rings.

  2. 7

    Fry the Onion Straws

In a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add the onion rings and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 8

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each hamburger bun, place a cooked beef patty with melted cheese. Top with crispy bacon and a generous amount of onion straws.

  2. 9

    Add BBQ Sauce

Drizzle BBQ sauce over the toppings and place the top half of the bun on each burger.
