Preparation

Preparation

1. Prepare the Beef

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, black pepper, and a pinch of salt for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.

2. Chop the Vegetables

Dice the green and red bell peppers into bite-sized pieces. Chop the green onions into thin slices, separating the green tops from the white bottoms.

3. Prepare the Garlic

Mince the garlic cloves and set aside. Reserve some minced garlic for the garlic butter.

Cooking

4. Cook the Corn

In a pan, heat a tablespoon of chili oil over medium heat. Add the corn kernels and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are slightly charred. Remove from the pan and set aside.

5. Cook the Beef

In the same pan, add another tablespoon of chili oil and the marinated beef. Cook over high heat for about 4-5 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

6. Sauté the Peppers

Add the white parts of the chopped green onions and the diced bell peppers into the pan. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the peppers are tender.

7. Prepare Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the reserved minced garlic and cook gently for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Assembly

8. Combine the Ingredients

In a large serving bowl, combine the cooked rice, sautéed peppers, corn, and cooked beef. Toss everything together to mix well.

9. Add Toppings

Drizzle the garlic butter over the rice mixture, and top with the fried garlic and the green tops of the green onions. Adjust seasoning with salt or additional chili oil to taste.

10. Serve

Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions and fried garlic if desired.
