Preparing the Corn

1. Select Fresh Corn

Choose four ears of fresh corn that are bright green and tightly wrapped in husks. The kernels should be plump and milky when pierced.

2. Remove the Husk

Peel back the husks and remove the silk from each ear of corn. Rinse the corn under cold water to clean.

Cooking the Corn

3. Boil the Corn

Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.

4. Add Corn to Boiling Water

Once the water is boiling, carefully add the prepared ears of corn to the pot. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the corn is tender.

5. Remove and Drain

Using tongs, carefully remove the corn from the pot and let it drain in a colander.

Serving the Corn

6. Add Butter and Salt

While the corn is still warm, slather each ear with butter and sprinkle with salt to taste.

7. Optional Toppings

For added flavor, you may sprinkle with chili powder, drizzle with lime juice, or add grated Parmesan cheese.
