Method

Preparation of Rice

  1. 1

    Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine the white rice and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Rice

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

Cooking the Beef

  1. 3

    Brown the Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 4

    Season the Beef

Add the curry powder, salt, and black pepper to the beef. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Preparing Toppings

  1. 5

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  2. 6

    Prepare Green Onions

Chop the green onions into small pieces, separating the green parts from the white parts.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Combine Beef and Rice

Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and then add it to the skillet with the seasoned beef. Stir to combine everything evenly.

  2. 8

    Add Corn

Stir in the corn and mix well until everything is heated through.

  3. 9

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the beef and rice mixture. Cover the skillet for a few minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.

  4. 10

    Add Toppings

Drizzle the garlic butter over the top and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
