Method
Preparation of Rice
- 1
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine the white rice and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 2
Simmer the Rice
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
Cooking the Beef
- 3
Brown the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Season the Beef
Add the curry powder, salt, and black pepper to the beef. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
Preparing Toppings
- 5
Make Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- 6
Prepare Green Onions
Chop the green onions into small pieces, separating the green parts from the white parts.

Add Toppings
Drizzle the garlic butter over the top and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
