Main Ingredients

Teriyaki Sauce

Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Clean and Dry Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season Chicken (Optional)

For added flavor, you can season the wings with salt and pepper to taste before cooking.

Making Teriyaki Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir well.

  2. 4

    Simmer Sauce

Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

  3. 5

    Thicken Sauce

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Slowly add this mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 6

    Remove from Heat

Once thickened, remove the sauce from heat and let it cool slightly.

Cooking Chicken Wings

  1. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 8

    Coat Wings with Sauce

In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with half of the teriyaki sauce until they are evenly coated.

  3. 9

    Bake Wings

Place the coated wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  4. 10

    Glaze Wings

During the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the wings with the remaining teriyaki sauce for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot with extra teriyaki sauce on the side.
