Method

Prepare the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves. Stir gently, then cover and let steep for about 10-15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain Tea

After steeping, strain the tea into a large bowl or pitcher to remove the tea leaves. Stir in 1 cup of sugar while the tea is still warm, ensuring it dissolves completely.

Prepare the Creamy Layer

  1. 4

    Mix Milks

In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup of whole milk or coconut milk. Mix well until fully blended.

Serve the Thai Iced Tea

  1. 5

    Assemble the Drink

Fill a glass with ice cubes (about 2 cups). Pour the brewed Thai tea over the ice until the glass is about 3/4 full.

  2. 6

    Add Creamy Layer

Slowly pour the milk mixture over the top of the tea. You can use a spoon to help control the flow and create a layered effect.

  3. 7

    Garnish (Optional)

Garnish with a star anise or any other desired toppings. Serve immediately with a straw.
