Cut each corn tortilla into triangles. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the tortilla triangles in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, seasoning with salt while hot.

Making the Tortilla Chips

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On an oven-safe plate or baking sheet, layer the fried tortilla chips evenly. Spread the black beans over the chips and top with shredded cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Assembling the Nachitos

Remove from the oven and top with sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately while hot.
