Mushroom Swiss Burger Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced mushrooms, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the beef into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet used for the mushrooms, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

To assemble, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each burger bun. Add the cooked patty with melted Swiss cheese, followed by sautéed mushrooms and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
