Preparing the Salad
- 1
Prepare the Romaine
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Shake off excess water and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Grate Parmesan
Grate the Parmesan cheese using a cheese grater or food processor, and set aside.
- 3
Make Croutons
Cut the sourdough bread into bite-sized cubes. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Making the Caesar Dressing
- 4
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Assembling the Salad
- 5
Toss the Salad
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, grated Parmesan cheese, and croutons. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently until everything is evenly coated.
- 6
Serve
Transfer the salad to a serving bowl or individual plates. Optionally, sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
