1. Prepare the Pie Crust

In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until thoroughly combined.

2. Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool.

3. Make the Chocolate Filling

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of heavy cream and 8 ounces of chopped semi-sweet chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

4. Combine Layers

Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled pie crust. Allow it to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

5. Prepare the Marshmallow Topping

In a large mixing bowl, beat 4 egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add 1 cup of sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.

6. Top the Pie

Spread the meringue evenly over the chilled chocolate filling, creating peaks with a spatula.

7. Toast the Meringue

Using a kitchen torch, toast the meringue until golden brown. Alternatively, place the pie under a broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.

8. Serve

Slice the pie and serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
