Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

Marinate the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Dice the carrot, bell pepper, and onion. Mince the garlic. Chop the green onions and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Beef

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Stir-fry the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of sesame oil. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Then add diced carrots and bell pepper, and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  3. 5

    Add Peas and Rice

Add the frozen green peas and cooked jasmine rice to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring the rice is heated through.

  4. 6

    Incorporate the Beef and Eggs

Push the rice mixture to one side of the skillet. Pour the beaten eggs into the cleared space and scramble until just set. Then mix the scrambled eggs into the rice and vegetable mixture along with the cooked beef.

  5. 7

    Season the Fried Rice

Pour the remaining soy sauce over the fried rice. Add chopped green onions and stir everything well to combine. Cook for another minute to heat through.
