Prepare the Pork
Cut the pork shoulder into large chunks and season with salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano.

Add Ingredients to Slow Cooker
Place the seasoned pork in a slow cooker. Add orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic, bay leaves, and water.

Cook the Pork
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours until the pork is tender and can be shredded easily.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard bay leaves.

Crisp the Carnitas
Spread the shredded pork on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 5-7 minutes until crispy. Stir and broil again if desired.

Serve
Serve the crispy carnitas with black beans on the side.
