Directions

1

Prepare the Trout

Rinse the whole trout under cold water to remove any remaining scales and guts. Pat dry with paper towels.

2

Marinate the Trout

In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well to create a marinade.

3

Season the Trout

Rub the marinade generously over the outside and inside of the trout. Make sure to stuff the cavity with lemon slices and fresh thyme if using.

4

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C).

5

Grill the Trout

Place the trout on the grill grates. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks.

6

Serve

Remove the trout from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve whole, garnished with additional parsley and lemon slices if desired.
