Method

Prepare the Burger

  1. 1

    Season the Wagyu Beef

In a bowl, combine the Wagyu beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to incorporate the seasonings without overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the seasoned Wagyu beef into a patty approximately 1-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the burger patty on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the desired doneness is reached.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on top of the patty and close the grill lid or cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Prepare the Jicama Slaw

  1. 6

    Shred the Jicama

Using a grater or food processor, shred the jicama into fine strips. Set aside.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Bun

Lightly toast the potato bun on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

Spread the sweet chili glaze on the bottom half of the toasted potato bun. Place the cooked Wagyu patty with melted cheese on top, followed by a generous scoop of shredded jicama slaw. Top with the other half of the bun.

  3. 9

    Serve

Cut the burger in half if desired and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
