Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Asparagus

Rinse the asparagus under cold water to remove any dirt or grit.

  2. 2

    Trim the Ends

Trim the tough ends of the asparagus. You can do this by bending the asparagus until it naturally snaps, which will remove the woody stem.

  3. 3

    Make the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Whisk until well combined.

  4. 4

    Marinate the Asparagus

Add the trimmed asparagus to the bowl with the marinade. Toss to ensure all the asparagus is evenly coated.

Grilling

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Grill the Asparagus

Place the marinated asparagus directly on the grill grates or use a grill basket for easier handling.

  3. 7

    Cook Until Tender

Grill the asparagus for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are tender and have nice grill marks.

  4. 8

    Serve

Remove the grilled asparagus from the grill and let them cool for a minute before serving.
