Method

Preparation of Salmon

  1. 1

    Season the Salmon

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the salmon fillet on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon, then sprinkle with salt and black pepper, ensuring an even coating.

  2. 2

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle the lemon zest, fresh dill, and capers evenly over the top of the salmon fillet to enhance the flavor.

Cooking the Salmon

  1. 3

    Bake the Salmon

Place the salmon in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Preparation of Sides

  1. 4

    Prepare Asparagus

Trim the ends of the asparagus and toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them out on a separate baking sheet.

  2. 5

    Prepare Baby Potatoes

Halve the baby potatoes and toss them with melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Place them on another baking sheet.

Cooking the Sides

  1. 6

    Roast the Sides

Place both the asparagus and the baby potatoes in the oven alongside the salmon. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until both the asparagus is tender and the potatoes are golden brown.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Once everything is cooked, remove from the oven. Serve the salmon fillet on a plate alongside the roasted asparagus and baby potatoes.
