Crab Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the jumbo lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and chopped green onions. Mix gently to avoid breaking the crab meat.

  2. 2

    Add Binding Ingredients

Add the beaten egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper to the crab mixture. Stir until everything is well combined, being careful not to overmix.

  3. 3

    Form the Cakes

Using your hands, form the mixture into small cakes, about 2 inches in diameter. Place the cakes on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  4. 4

    Broil the Crab Cakes

Drizzle olive oil over the crab cakes. Place the baking sheet under the broiler and broil for about 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

Roasted Red Pepper Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Blend the Sauce Ingredients

In a blender, combine the roasted red bell peppers, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary by adding more salt or pepper as desired.

Plating

  1. 7

    Serve the Crab Cakes

Place the broiled crab cakes on a serving platter. Drizzle with the roasted red pepper sauce and top with microgreens for garnish.
