Beef Patty

Toppings

Sides (optional)

Method

Prepare the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

Take 7 oz of USDA Choice ground beef and shape it into a round patty. Make a slight indentation in the center to prevent it from bulging while cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patty for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook 2 slices of bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside. Leave the rendered bacon fat in the skillet.

  2. 4

    Fry the Egg

In the same skillet, crack 1 large egg and fry it over easy for about 2-3 minutes, until the whites are set but yolk remains runny.

  3. 5

    Caramelize the Onions

Add sliced onions to the skillet with the bacon fat and cook over low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Bun

Toast the potato bun until golden brown on a grill or in a toaster.

  2. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted potato bun, spread 2 tablespoons of house made sauce. Place the cooked beef patty on top, followed by the crispy bacon, caramelized onions, American cheese, and finally the fried egg.

  3. 8

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the toasted bun. Serve immediately with your choice of side.
