Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Take the 12 oz. Braveheart Black Angus NY Strip and pat it dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness).

Make the Seasoned Butter

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the unsalted butter, garlic powder, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

  2. 4

    Melt the Butter

Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the heat and top with the seasoned butter, allowing it to melt over the steak.

Prepare Sides

  1. 5

    Make Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Boil peeled and chopped potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and return to pot. Add butter, garlic, milk, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth.

  2. 6

    Steam Broccoli

Steam fresh broccoli florets until bright green and tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Place the cooked steak on a plate, and serve with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli on the side. Enjoy your Hand Cut NY Strip!
