Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lettuce

Chop the romaine and iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Remaining Salad Ingredients

Chop the red onion, and halve the cherry tomatoes. Add the red onion, cherry tomatoes, walnuts, dried cranberries, and gorgonzola cheese to the bowl with the lettuce.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Once cooked, remove from the skillet, drain on paper towels, and crumble into pieces.

  4. 4

    Combine Bacon with Salad

Add the crumbled bacon to the salad mixture and toss everything together gently.

Gorgonzola Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix Dressing Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the gorgonzola cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, white wine vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 6

    Blend Until Smooth

Using a whisk or a blender, mix the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

Final Assembly

  1. 7

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the gorgonzola dressing over the salad and toss until all ingredients are well coated.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the Gorgonzola Chopped salad immediately in individual bowls or a large serving bowl.
