Bruschetta Base

Method

Preparing Tomato Jam

1

Cook the Tomatoes

In a medium saucepan, add the chopped ripe tomatoes, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens, about 20-25 minutes.

2

Add Basil

Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh basil. Allow the jam to cool to room temperature.

Preparing Bruschetta Base

3

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

4

Slice Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange on a baking sheet.

5

Drizzle with Olive Oil

Brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

6

Toast the Bread

Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Assembling Bruschetta

7

Spread Goat Cheese

Once the bread is toasted, spread a generous amount of goat cheese on each slice.

8

Add Tomato Jam

Top each slice with a spoonful of the cooled tomato jam.

9

Prepare Lemon Butter Drizzle

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Stir in the lemon juice until well combined.

10

Drizzle and Garnish

Drizzle the lemon butter over the assembled bruschetta and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve immediately.
