Method
Preparing the Beef Patty

Shape the Patty
Take 7 oz of USDA Choice Beef and shape it into a round patty approximately 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Season the Patty
Season both sides of the beef patty with salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking the Patty

Flip and Cook
Flip the patty and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Place the slice of cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Slice the Vegetables
While the patty is cooking, wash and slice the romaine lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Set aside.

Prepare Pickles
Set out 2 slices of pickles for topping the burger.
Assembling the Cheeseburger

Toast the Bun
Lightly toast the potato bun on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Build the Burger
On the bottom half of the toasted bun, layer the romaine lettuce, cooked beef patty with melted cheese, slices of tomato, red onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve the cheeseburger with your choice of side, such as fries or a salad.
