Method

Cauliflower Preparation

  1. 1

    Heat Oil

Preheat your oil for frying in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Cauliflower

While the oil is heating, cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.

  3. 3

    Make Batter

In a large bowl, combine gluten-free flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Slowly whisk in water until you achieve a thick batter.

  4. 4

    Fry Cauliflower

Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, and carefully place them into the hot oil.

  5. 5

    Cook Cauliflower

Fry the cauliflower in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Drain Cauliflower

Once cooked, remove the cauliflower from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Buffalo Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Melt Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. 8

    Make Buffalo Sauce

Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes to combine.

Whipped Blue Cheese Preparation

  1. 9

    Blend Cheeses

In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and blue cheese until smooth.

  2. 10

    Finish Whipped Blue Cheese

Add sour cream, garlic powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix until well combined and creamy.

Serving

  1. 11

    Coat Cauliflower

Toss the fried cauliflower in the buffalo sauce until well coated.

  2. 12

    Plate and Serve

Serve the buffalo cauliflower hot with a side of whipped blue cheese and celery stalks.
