Dry Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, instant yeast, and sugar. Stir well to evenly distribute the yeast and salt throughout the flour.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix the warm water and olive oil together until well combined.

Mixing and Kneading

  1. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing with a wooden spoon or spatula until a shaggy dough forms.

  2. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for approximately 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

First Rise

  1. 5

    Let the Dough Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm environment for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Shaping and Second Rise

  1. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Transfer it to a floured surface, shape it into a loaf or desired shape.

  2. 7

    Second Rise

Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet. Cover it again and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes until it puffs up.

Baking

  1. 8

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 9

    Bake the Bread

Once the second rise is complete, bake the bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Cooling

  1. 10

    Cool the Bread

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
