Bourbon Salmon

Garlic Whipped Potatoes

Steamed Broccoli

Method

Bourbon Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and black pepper until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the bourbon marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and brush the grill grates with olive oil.

  4. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the salmon on the grill skin-side down. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through and flaky.

Garlic Whipped Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

In a large pot, add the peeled and cubed potatoes, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until tender.

  2. 6

    Prepare Garlic

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.

  3. 7

    Whip the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the garlic-butter mixture and heavy cream. Mash with a potato masher or whip with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Steamed Broccoli

  1. 8

    Prepare the Broccoli

In a large pot, add 1 inch of water and place a steamer basket inside. Bring water to a boil.

  2. 9

    Steam the Broccoli

Add the broccoli florets to the steamer basket, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes or until bright green and tender-crisp. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt before serving.
