Method

Pork Chop Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Pork Chop

Rub the bone-in pork chop with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Ensure that the seasoning is evenly distributed on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork Chop

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned pork chop on the grill or skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove from heat and let rest.

Bourbon-Pineapple Glaze

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine bourbon, pineapple juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Stir well to combine.

  2. 4

    Thicken the Glaze

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry. Bring the saucepan mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then slowly whisk in the cornstarch slurry. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the glaze thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.

  3. 5

    Glaze the Pork Chop

Brush the bourbon-pineapple glaze generously over the cooked pork chop before serving.

Garlic Whipped Potatoes

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the russet potatoes into even-sized chunks. Place in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Cook the Garlic

While the potatoes are cooking, peel and mince the garlic cloves and sauté them in a small pan with butter over medium heat until fragrant and lightly golden, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 8

    Whip the Potatoes

Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the sautéed garlic, butter, and heavy cream. Use a potato masher or electric mixer to whip the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Season with salt to taste.

Steamed Broccoli

  1. 9

    Steam the Broccoli

Bring a pot of water to a boil and place a steamer basket over it. Add the fresh broccoli florets to the steamer basket, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.

  2. 10

    Season the Broccoli

Drizzle the steamed broccoli with olive oil and sprinkle with salt to taste before serving.
