Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Gather Ingredients

Collect all base ingredients, flavor enhancements, and liquid ingredients on a clean workspace.

  2. 2

    Measure Ingredients

Using measuring cups and spoons, measure out the black tea leaves, green tea leaves, herbal tea blend, dried lavender, dried hibiscus petals, fresh ginger, and cinnamon sticks.

Brewing the Tea

  1. 3

    Heat the Water

In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Once the water is boiling, remove from heat and add all the measured tea leaves and flavor enhancements (lavender, hibiscus, ginger, and cinnamon) into the pot.

  3. 5

    Steep the Tea

Cover the pot and allow the mixture to steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on the desired strength.

  4. 6

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the tea into a large pitcher, discarding the solid ingredients.

  5. 7

    Sweeten if Desired

If desired, add honey to the strained tea and stir until dissolved.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Hot or Cold

Serve the artisan tea hot in mugs or chill and serve over ice in glasses. Enjoy!
