Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into 8oz patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet. Layer the bottom bun with lettuce, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slice, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Side Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Salad

In a bowl, toss mixed salad greens with halved cherry tomatoes and sliced cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt to taste.

  2. 5

    Make the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Cut the potatoes into thin strips and toss in olive oil and salt. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
