Prime Rib Preparation
- 1
- 2
Roast the Prime Rib
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Place the seasoned prime rib on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Roast for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, about 1.5 to 2 hours. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Mixed Vegetables Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Vegetables
While the prime rib is resting, wash and chop the carrots, green beans, and zucchini.
- 4
Roast the Vegetables
Toss the chopped vegetables with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast in the oven at 425°F (218°C) for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
Whipped Potatoes Preparation
- 5
- 6
Whip the Potatoes
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter and heavy cream. Use a potato masher or hand mixer to whip the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
