Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped fresh rosemary. Rub this mixture all over the ribeye steaks and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, approximately 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Once the grill is hot, place the marinated steaks on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick). Rinse the potato strips under cold water to remove excess starch, then dry them thoroughly with a kitchen towel.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  4. 8

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt to taste.
