Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 3

In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

  6. 6

Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips into the cookie dough.

  1. 7

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 8

Scoop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a large circle about 10 inches in diameter.

  3. 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the center is still soft.

  4. 10

Remove from the oven and let it cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

  1. 11

Once the cookie is slightly warm, top it with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  2. 12

Drizzle chocolate syrup over the ice cream and cookie.

  3. 13

Top with whipped cream as desired.

  4. 14

Serve while warm and enjoy your giant cookie treat!
