House-Made Marinara Sauce
Method
Crispy Cheese Curds
- 1
Prepare the cheese curds
Set the cheddar cheese curds aside on a plate, ensuring they are not touching each other.

- 3
Bread the cheese curds
Coat each cheese curd first in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat in breadcrumbs. Ensure they are fully covered.
- 4
Heat the oil
In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
- 5
Fry the cheese curds
Carefully add a few breaded cheese curds to the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Do not overcrowd the pot.
- 6
Drain and serve
Remove the fried cheese curds using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce.
