Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the brownies.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
- 6
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting.
Sundae Assembly
- 7
Scoop Ice Cream

- 8
Add Chocolate Sauce
Drizzle 0.5 cup of chocolate sauce over the ice cream and brownie.
- 9
Add Whipped Cream
Top with 0.5 cup of whipped cream for a rich finish.
