Chicken Tenders
Dipping Sauces
Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Stations
In a shallow bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. In another shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. In a third shallow bowl, place the bread crumbs.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with bread crumbs. Ensure each piece is fully coated.
Cooking
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Tenders
Carefully place the breaded chicken tenders into the hot oil in batches. Fry each batch for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauces.
