Fried Shrimp Preparation

Prepare the Shrimp
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Coat the Shrimp
Dip each shrimp into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Shrimp
Carefully add the shrimp to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Remoulade Sauce Preparation

Mix the Ingredients
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, minced garlic, and chopped green onion. Stir until well blended.
Sandwich Assembly

Prepare the Rolls
Slice each hoagie roll lengthwise without cutting all the way through.

Assemble the Sandwiches
Spread a generous amount of remoulade sauce on both sides of each hoagie roll. Layer with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and top with the fried shrimp.

Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
