Method
Preparation
- 1
Slice the Bread
Using a serrated knife, slice the sourdough bread into thick pieces, about 1-inch thick.
- 2
Soften the Butter
Let the unsalted butter sit at room temperature until it is soft enough to spread easily.
Toasting
- 3
Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the sliced sourdough bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and warm.
- 4
Butter the Bread
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and spread a generous amount of softened butter on each slice while it is still warm. Sprinkle with sea salt to taste.
