Method
Prepare the Pancake Batter
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Combine Wet and Dry
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Cook the Pancakes
Preheat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
Pour Batter
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
Flip and Cook
Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 2 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and keep warm. Repeat with remaining batter.
Prepare Warm Syrup and Whipped Butter
Warm Syrup
In a small saucepan, gently warm the maple syrup over low heat until heated through.
Serve
Plate and Enjoy
Serve the pancakes warm with a dollop of whipped butter and drizzle with warm maple syrup.
