Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the New York strip steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Grill the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

Make the Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and cut the russet potatoes into thick fries. Soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.

Cook the Green Beans

  1. 5

    Boil the Green Beans

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and rinse under cold water.

  2. 6

    Sauté the Green Beans

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the green beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Prepare the Blue Cheese Butter

  1. 7

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, crumbled blue cheese, garlic powder, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.

  2. 8

    Serve

Top each steak with a generous dollop of blue cheese butter before serving.
