Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same pot, add chopped onion and celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.

  3. 3

    Add Potatoes and Broth

Add diced potatoes and chicken broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Cream and Tomatoes

Stir in the heavy cream, canned diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Crab

Gently fold in the Dungeness crab meat and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Chop the reserved bacon and sprinkle on top before serving.
