Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

Form the Patties
While the bacon is cooking, divide the ground beef into two even portions and form them into burger patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Burgers
In the same skillet used for the bacon (add butter or oil if needed), cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burgers
To assemble, place a burger patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Top with two slices of crispy bacon and one fried egg. Place the top half of the bun on and serve immediately.
