Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sticky Rice

Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak for at least 30 minutes. Cook the rice according to the package instructions, usually by steaming or using a rice cooker. Once cooked, let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tuna

Cut the sushi-grade tuna into bite-sized cubes. You may marinate it in soy sauce, sesame oil, and a sprinkle of lime juice for a few minutes if desired.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Thinly slice the red cabbage, dice the pineapple, and pit and slice the avocado. If using frozen edamame, cook according to package instructions until tender.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Bowl

In a bowl, start with a base of sticky rice. Arrange the tuna, red cabbage, edamame, pineapple, wakame, and avocado on top of the rice. Add sliced pickled fresnos and sprinkle with chopped macadamia nuts.

  5. 5

    Drizzle with Aioli

Finish by drizzling Japanese aioli over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
