Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Clams
Rinse the littleneck clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit. Discard any clams that are open and do not close when tapped.
- 2
Make the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 3
Steam the Clams
In a large pot, add about 1 inch of water and bring it to a boil. Add the rinsed clams to the pot, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until the clams open. Discard any clams that remain closed.
- 4
Serve
Remove the clams from the pot and place them in a serving bowl. Drizzle the garlic butter over the clams and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
