Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vanilla Pudding

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. 2

    Make Banana Syrup

In a small saucepan, mash 2 ripe bananas and add 1 cup of sugar. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside to cool.

  3. 3

    Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with the vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Pudding

In a trifle dish or individual serving cups, layer the lady fingers, banana syrup, banana slices, and vanilla pudding. Repeat the layers as desired.

  5. 5

    Top with Whipped Cream

Finish with a generous layer of whipped cream on top. Garnish with remaining banana slices.

  6. 6

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the banana pudding for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
