Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Rice
Rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rinsed rice with 2 cups of water in a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18 minutes until the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
- 2
Make Miso Soup
In a pot, combine 4 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of miso paste. Heat gently while whisking until the miso is fully dissolved. Keep warm.
- 3
Cook the Steak
Season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Brush with teriyaki sauce during the last minute of cooking. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
