Teriyaki Salmon & Chicken
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.
- 2
Cook the Salmon
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place the salmon skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes. Flip the salmon and brush with teriyaki sauce, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
- 3
Cook the Chicken
In another skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Brush with teriyaki sauce during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- 4
Serve
Serve the teriyaki salmon and chicken with a side of salad, miso soup, and white rice. Drizzle extra teriyaki sauce over the top if desired.
