Shrimp and Breading

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and black pepper. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

    Fry the Shrimp

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded shrimp in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Make the Coconut Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Do not boil.

  4. 4

    Serve

Plate the fried shrimp and drizzle with the coconut sauce. Top with chopped walnuts before serving.
