Vanilla Ice Cream Preparation
In a medium bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions until thick. Freeze until firm.

In a medium bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth. Chill the mixture for at least 2 hours. Pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions until thick. Freeze until firm.
Creme Anglaise

Creme Anglaise Preparation
In a saucepan, heat heavy cream and milk with the split vanilla bean over medium heat until it begins to simmer. In a bowl, whisk together sugar and egg yolks. Gradually pour the hot cream mixture over the egg mixture, whisking constantly. Return to the saucepan and cook on low heat until thickened. Strain and cool.
Whipped Cream

In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Do not overwhip.
Assembly

Assembly of Sundae
Scoop alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate ice cream into a serving dish. Drizzle with creme anglaise and top with whipped cream. Serve immediately.
