Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pappardelle

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pappardelle and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Bolognese Sauce

  1. 2

    Make the Bolognese Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for another minute.

  2. 3

    Brown the Meat

Add the ground beef and ground pork to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 4

    Add Liquids

Stir in the red wine and cook until mostly evaporated, about 5 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes, milk, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Garlic Grill Bread

  1. 5

    Prepare Garlic Bread

Preheat the grill or oven. In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Spread the mixture over the cut sides of the French bread.

  2. 6

    Toast the Bread

Place the bread on the grill or in the oven until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Dish

Serve the Bolognese sauce over the cooked pappardelle and top with grated Parmesan. Enjoy with garlic grill bread on the side.
